Professional boundaries

Clear boundaries protect the quality of the work.

We decline assignments that depend on deception, unlawful conduct, unresolved conflicts or promises that no consultant can responsibly make.

Work we will not undertake

Political competition does not remove the responsibility to be truthful and lawful. We do not offer fabricated evidence, fake public support, hateful communication, defamatory allegations, deceptive synthetic media or unlawful use of personal information.

We do not sell party tickets, influence over nominations or guaranteed election results. A professional relationship must never be presented as privileged access to a public authority.

When the assignment is not ready

An engagement may be unsuitable if the client cannot provide accurate information, make timely decisions or assign the people required to carry out agreed actions. A scope that exceeds available time or resources should be narrowed before work begins.

Disagreement is not a disqualification. We welcome questions and competing interpretations. The necessary condition is a willingness to engage with evidence and honour the responsibilities accepted in writing.

When we need to pause or decline

  • An existing assignment creates a material conflict that cannot be resolved.
  • Requested claims cannot be supported or corrected.
  • Necessary permissions, access or approvals are missing.
  • The requested staffing or timeline exceeds confirmed capacity.
  • The assignment requires sensitive personal profiling or coercive engagement.

A respectful next step

If we cannot support the proposed work, the right outcome may be a narrower assignment, a later review or a clear decline. We will not use a pressure tactic or an invented scarcity claim to move a prospect into a commitment.

You can describe your needs in an application without sending confidential strategy papers, voter data or identity documents.

Questions about the work

Must I accept every recommendation?

No. Your decisions remain yours. Responsibilities and any consequences for the agreed work should be discussed openly.
